PISTON RING BREAKFAST RUN : SUNDAY 17TH APRIL 2011
As was mentioned in our previous report there were 3 meeting points for this Breakfast run. Those who met at Investment Cars and Mugg & Bean enjoyed a light Breakfast at the Mugg & Bean in Woodmead, before driving off to the Piston Ring to meet the rest of the 356ers.
Piston Ring was celebrating 100 years of Chevrolet, so naturally the classic Chevrolets’ were on display. It was fascinating to see the design evolution that took place over the years, and yet how the fundamental philosophy and culture remained true to the original concept.
To compliment the cars and add to the American style atmosphere was the music and voice of legends like Elvis Presley, Bobby Darren and Paul Anker.

Clive explaining the gymkhana
We met in the remote car park of the Hyperama where the action got underway with a short but tricky gymkhana. Each car was timed but we weren’t given our times as the time was to be incorporated into a formula that Clive had devised for the days activities.
